Kings of Leon show off new songs
Posted on 1 Jul 2010 10:00 to category : Music News

Kings of Leon showcased four new songs in London last night (30.06.10).
The American rock band - which consists of Nathan Followill, Caleb Followill, Jared Followill and Matthew Followill - played a sell-out concert in Hyde Park and treated the 60,000 fans in attendance to the fresh material, which included the tracks 'Southbound', 'Immortal' and 'Radioactive'.
Frontman Caleb told the crowd: "Since we saw you guys last we went and made a record. That's what we put a lot of work into. Just yesterday (29.06.10) some people at the record label got to hear a couple of songs from it. I don't know if they want us to play a bunch of new songs but I think 'f**k it' - were gonna do it!"
During the gig, Caleb told his adoring audience the show had been one of the highlights of the band's career.
He said: "It's been one of the greatest experiences of my life. Thank you all very much. One of these days, when we're all fat and bald... or balder, and we're sitting in Tennessee telling all our kids about all the great things that happened to us, this is gonna be one of those."
Speaking about the band's upcoming fifth album, drummer Nathan recently revealed it was a fun and upbeat record.
He said: "I'll be damned if we didn't go in there and make a fun record! It's got songs that are beach-y and songs that are a little more like our 'Youth and Young Manhood' days.
"We're super-excited. It will be interesting to see how well received it is."
