Kings of Leon sell out Hyde Park show 'in seconds'
Electric guitar band Kings of Leon have sold out their biggest-ever show in the UK "within seconds", it has been reported.
According to a spokesman for the group, tickets for the show, which is taking place on June 30th 2010, were snapped up instantly.
The 65,000 tickets were priced at just under £50 each and went on sale at 9am this morning (February 19th 2010).
A variety of support acts for the show are to be announced at a later date.
Earlier this week, the band's bass guitar player, Caleb Followill, said the thought of playing the show was fantastic for all the members of the group.
"It's something that a band can only dream of - to be put in the same category as the groups that have played before us is just unbelievable," he told the Kings of Leon website.
