Kings Of Leon to regret lyrics?
Kings Of Leon think they may one day regret the lyrics of 'Come Around Sundown'.
The band are excited about the introduction of improvised lyrics to their present album, but while they really like the lyrics at present, they wonder how they will fare when given a few years to reflect.
Frontman Caleb Followill said: "the record's gotten us really excited for the future and where we can go.
"Lyrically, there are things on the album that just come from the heart and things that don't make much sense. There are also things that maybe one day I'll regret saying. I think when you listen to the album and dissect it, hopefully you'll be in for a treat."
The group also admitted they were astonished not to have created a "darker record" when they headed to New York to work, as they found the city hectic and far more trying than laid back Nashville, where they recorded their other albums.
Drummer Nathan Followill told the Daily Mirror: "I'll be damned if we didn't go in there and make a fun record.
"I think this one has a little bit of something from every era of the band up to this point."
'Come Around Sundown' is released on October 18.Posted on 8 Oct 2010 16:30 to category : Music News
