Killers star Ronnie Vannucci to release solo album
Killers star Ronnie Vannucci has stepped out from behind his drum kit and released his first solo offering.
The drummer's debut album Big Talk, which was recorded in London, will be released on July 11th.
However, fans don't have to wait that long for the first single from the record, with Getaways being able to buy and download from May 10th.
"I needed to do this, it's such a departure from what I'm used to, but now, having done it, it feels like the right thing to do," he told music magazine NME.
"It all feels very natural. I can't sit on a couch very long!"
Ronnie is not giving up working with The Killers to pursue his solo ambitions, and will join the group onstage at Hard Rock Calling in London's Hyde Park this summer.
He said: "It's been too long, friends... Feels like forever since we've seen each other and now it's time we pay a visit."
Vannucci's hits with The Killers include Mr Brightside, Somebody Told Me, When You Were Young and Read My Mind.
The group's lead singer Brandon Flowers has already launched a successful solo career, releasing his debut Flamingo in 2010.
Singles from the record included Crossfire and Only the Young. The album charted at number one in the UK and number eight in the US.
