Keith Richards hints at a special Rolling Stones gig
The electric guitar wielding Keith Richards has let slip that The Rolling Stones could be planning something very special to mark the band's 50th anniversary of their first ever gig next year.
Richards, who can be seen in the latest Pirates of the Caribbean blockbuster as Jack Sparrow's dad, teased fans with the news of a possible celebration, reported the Sun.
Their first gig was held on 12 July 1962 in London, a date which everyone has at the back of their mind as the 50th anniversary approaches.
Speaking to the newspaper, he said that "something was in the wind".
He added: "The idea is there. We kind of know we should do it, but nobody's put their finger on the moment yet."
He also revealed that he had made up with Mick Jagger after the two had a slight falling out after Richards published his recent memoirs, which contained some cheeky remarks about his rock buddy.
Richards recently told reporters that his reprisal of the role of Captain Teague in the successful Pirates franchise was all down to Johnny Deep himself, who famously based his eccentric character on the rock star's wild behaviour in the early days of The Rolling Stones.
