Keith Moon's Drum Kit to be Auctioned
Although it's not yet clear what brand the drums were, the kit is said to have full provenance back to Moon. Further details and images will be released by the auction house closer to the time of sale.
It could be his Premier Outfit 55 kit in blue pearl finish, which he used from 1961 to 1964 and bought for just £75, that will be up for sale this winter.
This isn't the first time one of Keith Moon's drum kits will have been up for sale, the last was originally estimated to sell for £150,000 and far exceeded that estimate. In 2004, a five-piece custom-made Premier drum kit of his from 1968 sold for £139,650, meaning it became the world's most expensive kit.
The auction will take place on 10th December at Bonham's auction house in London... we'll put it on our Christmas list then shall we?
