Keane confirmed for Glastonbury acoustic set
Indie band Keane are to play a special set using acoustic guitars at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The group have been booked for a mid-afternoon slot on the Avalon Stage on the final day of the festival (June 27th 2010).
Keane are holding their own tour that clashes with the Glastonbury this year, meaning they were originally not booked to perform.
However, lead singer Tom Chaplin explained the group were keen to play a part in the celebration of the event's 40th anniversary, as all of the members are huge fans of everything about Glastonbury, from the atmosphere to the eclectic line-up.
"At the last minute we've decided to play an acoustic set," the musician said. "We'll be arriving during the early hours of Sunday morning, so will get to enjoy the last day."
Other acts who will also be appearing on the same day as Keane on the Avalon Stage include Gomez, The Saw Doctors and Imelda May.Posted on 10 Jun 2010 10:17 to category : Music News
