Acoustic guitar and keyboard player Kate Nash is set to embark on an extensive tour of the UK in the early part of next year.

The singer-songwriter is to begin her run of British gigs in Stoke-on-Trent on March 20th 2011, where she will perform at the Sugarmill venue.

She will follow this gig up with performances in Northampton, Nottingham and Bournemouth, before moving on to Portsmouth, Brighton, Reading, Bath and Cardiff.

Nash's tour will continue into April, with shows taking place during that month in cities including London, Liverpool and Newcastle.

The run of dates will come to a close in Edinburgh on April 9th, when the acoustic guitar player will take to the stage at the Cabaret Voltaire venue.

Prior to her British shows, Nash will be performing two gigs in Brazil in February, appearing in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo.

Earlier this year, Nash released her second album My Best Friend is You, which was produced by former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler.

According to the singer's official website: "Following the success of 2007's Made Of Bricks, Nash has matured her sound into a blend of piano pop and girl-group-tinged punk, while maintaining her quirky style."
