Kasabian 'set for tour of intimate venues'
Electric guitar band Kasabian are planning to showcase their new material in a series of small venues around the UK during spring.
The group's frontman Tom Meighan told NME they will be returning to their roots on the tour, rather than playing the arena and stadium shows they have become accustomed to.
"We're going to go back on the road in April or May and we're going to be doing the small shows again - 1,000, 2,000 people a night," he said.
Fans who are lucky enough to get tickets to the concerts can expect to hear two or three of their new tracks mixed in with hits from their back catalogue.
The singer hinted the electric guitar player Serge Pizzorno has written a song that may replace LSF as their traditional set closer from now on.
Kasabian have already been booked as one of the headliners for this summer's Isle of Wight Festival, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2011.
They will be joined at the bash by a host of heavyweight acts from the world of music, including indie stars Kings of Leon, reformed Britpop icons Pulp and rockers Foo Fighters.
