Kasabian plan career peak
Posted on 18 Feb 2010 07:30 to category : Music News

Tom Meighan reckons Kasabian have become a "serious band", and are about to "peak" with their next album.
The singer for the UK rock group said they only realised how much of a serious musical force they are with their last record 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum' - and reckons they will better it with their next effort.
He told BANG Showbiz: "When we reached West Ryder, we became a band, a serious band in my opinion.
"But the best thing is about our band, is that we get to make a fourth album, and I think the fourth album will be our peak, and I think we'll be around for another ten or fifteen, years, we'll be around for a while."
Tom added that lead songwriter Serge Pizzorno has been taking cues from the US, rather than their British roots, for the next album.
He said: "Serge's got a tune that's like a Nirvana tune, it's got a crunch hook on it. It's awesome, so we've got some amazing new songs, and we're always trying to better the last album. It'll be completely different to West Ryder, so hopefully by the end of this year we'll have a fourth album.
"We're doing the demos in Leicester and then taking it somewhere else to finish it."
Kasabian's latest single, 'Vlad The Impaler', is out now.
