Kasabian: Supporting U2 was no big deal
In a candid interview with news.com.au, Kasabian were brutally honest about their experience of meeting the Irish rockers, sarcastically mocking Bono's fashion sense.
In response to the reporter saying that some people would kill for an opportunity to meet U2, let alone support them on tour, frontman Tom Meighan said: "Well, it ain't really as big as you think it is. I forgot what he said straight away. I was just looking at him going, wow, what a legend. You've got leather trousers on. Legend."
Of the epic global tour, the band said they didn't really get anything new out of it.
“I didn't take in anything supporting them, them gigs were horrible," Meighan told the online news provider.
"Worst ever. Can you imagine supporting U2? Their fans are probably into one band and one album - Joshua Tree."
Kasabian's third studio album Velociraptor stormed to the top of the charts last weekend.
