Brit rockers Kaiser Chiefs are concerned about the future of guitar-led music because they don't know whether the music industry is heading in a direction where they will figure as much as they have done.

The band said that within the space of a few years, from their break in 2008 right up to the present day, the industry has changed beyond belief.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, frontman Ricky Wilson said: "Necessity is the mother of invention and there will always be music. Whether it will be a viable career for five guys with guitars I'm not sure at the moment but you know, they'll be there in a garage somewhere."

Simon Rix, who plays bass guitar in the band, added that the demise of record companies in particular has massively affected the opportunities available to aspiring bands who wield acoustic guitars and electric guitars.

"What you need when you're a band, what it took for us was for a record company to give us a little money to get us on tour in a van, to get people to see us, to like our band, to get us on the radio and the telly," he told the news provider.

The band's new album can be created in a bespoke fashion with fans able to choose the tracks they want to have.
