Kaiser Chiefs: A lot of rubbish out there
Guitarist Andrew White explained that back in the day, record labels were a lot savvier about "sieving" out substandard music, but not anymore.
Speaking to the Gainsborough Standard, White said there has been no new Oasis or The Smiths to come and bring back some class to the music business.
"I really want one to come out and rejuvenate British guitar music again," he added.
He went on to say that the Kaiser Chiefs still "craved" mainstream success, which drove them to continue making the hits they are known for.
Last year the band conceded that their idea to let fans make their own Kaiser Chief album idea had spectacularly backfired.
That said, they were happy with the music from their fourth studio album, which is entitled The Future is Medieval.
