Jones: I'm glad Led Zeppelin didn't reform
Posted on 31st Oct 2009 10:00 to category Band / Celebrity News
Led Zeppelin's bass guitar player has said he is pleased the rock legends did not undertake a full reunion.
John Paul Jones took to the stage with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page two years ago for a one-off gig at London's O2 Arena, but Plant ruled out the possibility of taking the reunion any further.
Jones has since formed Them Crooked Vultures, which features Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age on electric guitar and Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters on the drum kit.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, he commented: "Jimmy and I rehearsed a bit with Jason Bonham and we couldn't really agree on singers.
"Then this came along and to be honest, I'm really happy."
Them Crooked Vultures will release their debut album next month, although their single is already being previewed on the band's MySpace page.
A UK tour is set to get underway in Plymouth in December.
