Johnny Marr selects Epiphone guitar for acoustic session
Johnny Marr has chosen an Epiphone acoustic guitar to use on a promotional tour of the US with The Cribs.
The former Smiths and Electronic guitarist linked up with the Yorkshire indie band last year and features on their latest album Ignore the Ignorant.
It reached number eight on the UK album charts on its release in September this year and the band are hoping it will be their breakthrough record in the US.
They travelled across the Atlantic earlier in the month for a series of promotional appearances on radio and television, including one on The Late Show with David Letterman.
During the tour, Marr was spotted playing an Epiphone Performer SE as the band performed an acoustic session for Los Angeles radio station Star 98.7 FM.
Earlier this year he spoke to the Mail on Sunday about his collection, revealing that his favourite guitars are the Les Paul he used when writing tracks for Meat is Murder and a 1963 Fender Jaguar he bought from Modest Mouse singer Isaac Brock.Posted on 25 Nov 2009 11:36 to category : Instruments News
