Johnny Marr designs sunglasses
The legendary guitarist explained the attraction of working with the cult sunglasses company – it used to be his signature look when he was in The Smiths.
"When I first started in The Smiths, I wore Ray-Bans all the time," he told NME.
"I used to work in a shop in Manchester during the 80s, and we were the first to sell Ray-Ban. I recall I purposely ordered a pair for myself so that I could be one of the few people in Manchester at the time to own a pair."
With a spate of bands reforming as of late, there has been speculation that The Smiths could reunite.
One person keen on this is his pal Noel Gallagher, another musician who has a soft spot for wearing sunglasses.
"The one everybody would like to see is The Smiths and they say it's not going to happen but they said the Stone Roses wouldn't happen and they said Led Zeppelin wouldn't happen," he said last year.
Marr recently designed his own version of a Fender Jaguar guitar.
