Johnny Foreigner's Shure microphone stolen
Johnny Foreigner have appealed for the return of a Shure microphone that was stolen during a recent gig in Leeds.
Electric guitar player and frontman Alexei Berrow was crowd surfing during the performance on Wednesday night when the theft took place.
Writing on the band's website, he said the incident tarnished his evening and that he wants the Shure SM58 back.
"The sentimental value of that SM58 to the person who trustingly lent it to me isn't something we can replace by jacking up shirt prices or not eating," Berrow commented.
However, he was full of praise for 99 per cent of the audience, saying they proved why the band are justified in "skinting ourselves" to go on the road.
Johnny Foreigner are currently gearing up to release their second album Grace and the Bigger Picture later this month.
The new record will be the follow-up to last year's Waited Up 'Til It Was Light.Posted on 17 Oct 2009 10:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
