John Lennon's solo albums remastered
Posted on 1 Jul 2010 17:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News

The solo albums produced by guitar player John Lennon have been remastered.
His widow Yoko Ono has been involved in the reworking process on the eight records, which are to be released on October 9th – a date which would have marked Lennon's 70th birthday.
A total of 121 tracks featuring the Beatles star have been remastered.
Ono said: "I hope that those who are already familiar with John's work will find renewed inspiration from his incredible gifts as a songwriter, musician and vocalist."
She added that her husband was a powerful commentator on the human condition and that the guitar player's lyrics remain as relevant today as when they were written.
Last month, Lennon's handwritten lyrics for the Beatles track A Day in the Life were sold at auction in the US for $1.2 million (£806,000).
David Redden, Sotheby's Books and Manuscripts Department international chairman, said the high price was testament to the iconic status of The Beatles and Lennon.
