Joe Perry 'ready to rock'

Aerosmith's Joe Perry is "ready to rock" despite his recent motorcycle crash.
The guitarist - who was injured when a car smashed into his Ducati Monster near his home in Massachusetts on Thursday (15.06.10) - has reassured fans he will be taking to the stage for the start of the iconic band's 18-city tour on July 23.
He said in a statement: "Just like the name of the tour, I am 'Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock'. It was a close call; my bike is smashed but I am OK from head to toe."
The 59-year-old 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing' hitmaker was discharged uninjured from Morton Hospital and Medical Center a few hours after the accident.
Bandmate Tom Hamilton has also confirmed the rocker would be appearing on the tour, which begins on Friday (23.07.10) at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
He told 'WFXT' television channel: "He's doing good. He's a bit sore today, but he's well and we're looking forward to heading out the West Coast on Wednesday to start doing some touring in the States."
This is no doubt good news for the group, who were forced to cancel their 2009 tour of North America, after frontman Steve Tyler fell off stage at a show in South Dakota and broke his shoulder.
