Joan Jett gets signature Gibson guitar

A signature Gibsonguitar has been made for Joan Jett ahead of the release of her greatest hits album.
The specially-made Joan Jett Blackheart guitar is to be based on the one she used when recording many of her most famous songs in the 1970s and 1980s.
"It was the guitar I had in The Runaways and then played on all my hits, like I Love Rock N' Roll and Bad Reputation and Do You Wanna Touch Me," she said of her Melody Maker guitar.
As well as the release of the greatest hits album, which is based on her year with the Blackhearts, Jett is set to be in the spotlight in the next few months as a film is released about her exploits with her first group.
The Runaways stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning and is the tale of the all-female band of the same name.
Another musician set to be granted the honour of having a specially-made Gibsonguitar is former Guns N' Roses star Slash.
The Gibson Slash Appetite For Destruction Les Paul is to be released next month.
