Jimmy Page and Jack White to feature in guitar documentary
Aspiring musicians in the UK will have the chance to discover how Jimmy Page, Jack White and The Edge learned to play the electric guitar when It Might Get Loud is released on January 8th 2010.
The documentary centres on a jam session involving the three guitarists, but also tells the story of how they became involved in music and developed their trademark styles.
Page describes how he was inspired to write his own songs, join The Yardbirds and later form Led Zeppelin, after becoming bored with life as a session musician, while White reveals how learning to play the guitar helped him to escape a career as an upholsterer.
It Might Get Loud received a positive critical reception when it was released in the US in August, with Entertainment Weekly describing the film as a "marvellous rock doc that manages to be wistful, tasty and jam-kicking at the same time".Posted on 24 Nov 2009 09:04 to category : Band / Celebrity News
