Jimmy Page: My Gibson Les Paul is irreplaceable
Posted on 17 Aug 2009 11:55 to category : Instruments News

Speaking to Parade.com, the Led Zeppelin star said his relationship with his electric guitar has been like a marriage, as he has played it throughout his entire career.
"It's my mistress and my wife," he commented.
"Of course, it has spawned some sons and daughters because I've acquired far too many guitars over the years."
He went on to pay tribute to the man who designed his electric guitar, who passed away at the age of 94 last week.
Page described Les Paul as a genius and a pioneer of both the electric guitar and audio recording technology.
"He's the man who started everything," he said.
Page had mainly played a Fender Telecaster on Led Zeppelin's eponymous debut album, but later switched to a Gibson Les Paul on later LPs.
Gibson acknowledged his close association with the electric guitar by launching a signature model in the 1990s.
