Jeff Beck recalls worship of Fender Stratocaster and Gibson Les Paul
Speaking to Spinner, the musician said that in his younger years the former instrument was the "Holy Grail" to him.
"When I went up to look at it, it was like the religious experience hanging in the window there, watching it and alongside it was a Sunburst Les Paul and it played so well," Beck recalled.
He added that he went home from the trips not knowing which of the electric guitars he would prefer to own.
"The Fender was lighter and it looked more rock 'n' roll; the Les Paul looked a little bit more reserved and with a double cutaway," the star said.
Beck explained he is still extremely keen to play a guitar whenever he gets the chance, noting that he feels bad if a couple of days go by without him managing to pick up the instrument.
The star has recently announced he will be conducting a warm-up date for his forthcoming European tour in Bournemouth on June 11th.
On the following day, he will perform a set at the Isle of Wight Festival.
