Jeff Beck: Fender Stratocaster is the ultimate guitar

Electric guitar player Jeff Beck has explained he does not feel the Fender Stratocaster can be improved upon as a musical instrument.
Speaking to the Fender website, Beck recalled an occasion where he was asked to design the "ultimate" electric guitar by a rival instrument manufacturer.
"I said: 'Well, I can do, but I've already got one - here it is'," Beck recalled.
"And it was a '54 Strat and I said if I never had another guitar, this would do. This would be fine."
Beck remarked that he is so sure of the instrument's ability that he has done about five albums just using a Fender Stratocaster rather than any other guitar.
Earlier this week, Fender made five preset downloads available for users of its G-Dec 3 Thirty amp which have been designed by Beck.
The downloads are free of charge to anyone who owns the piece of musical equipment.
