Jedward: Our hair is insured for £1 million
The former X Factor contestants Jedward have proved that winning the show isn't everything as the quirky Irish duo's random rise to fame and fortune has taken another bizarre twist.
John and Edward Grimes as they are known outside of their pop creation have just revealed they have insured their gravity-defying barnet for £1 million.
The exuberant identical twins shocked their fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestants with the announcement.
Even more peculiar, John went on to say how important he thought their respective elongated blonde quiffs were.
He said: "We want to go to India, to South Africa. We want to teach everyone around the world how cool this amazing hairstyle is."
Their debut single was Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby), which was an interesting mix of music from Queen, David Bowie and Vanilla Ice no less.
Of Jedward, Vanilla Ice said: "I think they're great — I didn't know much about them until a couple of weeks ago. I checked them out on YouTube and I went 'no way', and after I got over the laugh, they invited me to come out."
