Jason Donovan to be involved with musical TV show
The star will be appearing on a new talent search show, set to take place later in the year.
And the show has a musical theme, because it involves trying to find a man to fill the shoes of Jesus – the character in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice show Jesus Christ Superstar.
Donovan, who will be a judge on the programme, has past musical form, having appeared in the pair's musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat – another Bible-related theatrical outing.
In that play, Joseph sings numbers such as Close Every Door and Any Dream Will Do – which Donovan took to number one as a single.
He is also well known for eighties hits such as When You Come Back To Me, Too Many Broken Hearts and Kylie Minogue duet Especially For You.
