Jack White pining for Stripes reunion
Posted on 4 May 2010 07:00 to category : Music News

Jack White wants The White Stripes to play together again soon.
The multi-instrumentalist is currently busy with his The Dead Weather project, with the group about to release their second album, 'Sea Of Cowards', but said he'd like to get back together with drummer Meg White to play with his most famous band.
He said: "I would like to play again soon. I don't think her anxiety exists any more, but I don't know. She was there when we were rehearsing for the Dead Weather.
"She 's still involved and everything. But we've never sat down and gone: 'OK, so don't forget to block out three months - Although we never did that, even in the thick of the craziness of the White Stripes."
Jack - who is married to Model and singer Karen Elson, who is also about to release her debut album - is also planning to take his children Scarlett, who is almost four and Henry, two, on tour with him.
He added: "Paul McCartney used to take his kids everywhere, never had a nanny I heard. So it can be done, it just becomes part of the scenario. At first it's overwhelming, then you look at other people - some mother will tell you she went back to her nine-to-five job two weeks after giving birth.
"That's really no different to us. Maybe we're more spoilt - we don't have to go the office."
The Dead Weather's 'Sea Of Cowards' is released on May 11.
