Jack White: I'll never join another band
Jack White may be set to go into the studio and record by himself in the future after saying he will not be joining any more bands.
The artist, who recently announced The White Stripes are no longer a band, said he has no intention of taking part in any other ventures in the remainder of his career.
He told Q Magazine: "I won't join another band again. Three's enough for one lifetime. If I can't say it in any of these bands, then I'll say it by myself."
It means White may pick up an electric guitar and start composing tunes for himself in the near future.
Although The White Stripes have now disbanded, he is still an active member of The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, as well as being a producer for a number of performers.
While White is primarily known for his guitar work, he is also an accomplished pianist and drummer, the latter musical instrument being what he plays in The Dead Weather.
The last of the six albums released by The White Stripes was the 2007 offering Icky Thump, with other notable records being White Blood Cells, Elephant and Get Behind Me Satan.
