JBL Introduce 3 Series Studio Monitors, PRX700 and JRX200 Powered Portable Loudspeakers

JBL Introduce 3 Series Studio Monitors and Powered Portable Loudspeakers
The new PRX700 lineup
Harman's JBL Professional have revealed the new 3 Series of studio monitors, plus the PRX700 and JRX200 portable loudspeaker lines.

The new monitors incorporate an Image Control Waveguide and are designed to deliver a high standard of detail in any kind of production environment.

The 3 Series features the LSR305 5" powered studio monitor and the LSR308 8" powered studio monitor.

Extensive research and development on these models means that the Waveguide design allows even subtle detail to be heard, even when the mix is dense.

Senior manager at JBL, Peter Chaikin, said "The Image Control Waveguide gives 3 Sesries a dramatic advantage. It is a remarkable piece of engineering allowing us to deliver a loudspeaker that is more revealing and engaging to listen to.

The speakers are incredibly reliable, passing JBL's 100-hour power test, where they were required to play continously at full output for 100 hours without failure.

JBL have also released some intriguing details about the series of powered loudspeakers that look set to replace the PRX600 series, the PRX700 series.

They will use ferrite magnets instead of Neo, have additional inputs and will contain fans on the amps. A new 10" powered version is included in the line-up, too.

The JRX200 series offers affordable and reliable sound and includes a stage monitor, two loudspeakers and a compact subwoofer.
