Isle of Wight Festival organiser denies Oasis participation
Oasis will not be one of the headline acts at this year's Isle of Wight Festival, according to organiser John Giddings.
He told NME.com that his team is still searching for bands to headline alongside the Prodigy at the June event, but confirmed that the group will "definitely" not be Oasis or the Kings of Leon.
"I can honestly tell you it's neither," he remarked.
"We're negotiating with the headliners for the Saturday and Sunday. They're definitely guitar bands."
Pendulum, Basement Jaxx and The Tings Tings are currently set to appear at the festival between June 12th and June 14th and Mr Giddings suggested that he was considering approaching The Zombies to perform.
The legendary group, which contains original members Rod Argent on piano and Colin Blunstone on lead guitar, are playing their most famous album Odessey and Oracle in full at live shows in London, Glasgow, Bristol and Manchester during April.Posted on 12 Feb 2009 11:48 to category : Band / Celebrity News
