Iron Maiden announce UK arena tour
Iron Maiden have announced they are to play a host of arena dates across the UK next summer.
The legendary band are to complete their world tour by coming back to their homeland in July and August 2011, with shows planned in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Sheffield and Nottingham.
Maiden will also be performing in Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Belfast, before rounding off the gig run at the O2 Arena in London on August 5th.
Bass guitar player Steve Harris said that the band have not managed to complete a UK tour for around five years due to their busy schedule and are looking forward to their return to Britain.
"All in all l think this is going to be a very special series of shows and a wonderful way to end this whole world tour," he added.
Maiden's Final Frontier world tour will see the band play stadium shows in Europe, Asia, South America, Australia and the US before they make it to these shores.
