Ingrid Michaelson set to bring out Fire
The dramatic-sounding track, which brings to mind stringed music instruments for listeners, has a November 4th shelf date as a single, according to the AltSounds website.
It opens with an image of "open heart surgery" as a metaphor for the effect that the song's subject has on its narrator.
The phrase "walking into fire" is also used repeatedly, a testament to the appropriateness of the song's single-word title.
On Human Again, Fire can be heard alongside ballad I'm Through and Ribbons, as well as the likes of Black and Blue and Do It Now.
The LP hit the scene earlier this year, and follows the likes of Everybody and Be OK among the singer's albums.
Michelson is a keyboards and electric guitars player.
