Incubus guitarist safe in his job, says singer
The vocalist has become increasingly enthusiastic about guitars in the last few years and has just purchased several Gibsons.
However, he told the Gibson website that this does not mean Mike Einziger's place in the band is under threat.
"I have no aspirations to be a shredder," Boyd insisted.
"I'm just keeping up and trying to support what these guys are doing."
Boyd added that when he is not performing, he can spend hours messing around on the guitar trying to come up with a song.
He stated that since composing with an instrument is relatively new to him, the songwriting process has become very fresh.
