Posted on 1 Jul 2010 11:44 to category : Instruments News

The first MI Retail Conference & Expo has been hailed as a success by attendees, exhibitors and organisers.
Held at The Brewery in London on June 29th, over 200 musical instrument retailers attended the conference and expo designed to provide coherence across the musical instrument and equipment market.
The event featured a series of panel presentations and open discussions to address head on major challenges faced in the current MI market.
Panels were made up of leading industry figures, including members of Roland, JHS and the Music Industry Association.
Independent market research analyst Matt Gibbs, of GfK, commented that the musical instrument industry was actually performing far better than other retail areas in the face of worldwide economic challenges.
The mood coming away from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with both retailers and manufacturers confident that the musical instrument industry has a good year ahead.
