Electric guitar band Iggy and the Stooges are among the latest names to be added to the bill of the Isle of Wight Festival 2011.

Other acts that have been booked to perform at the bash include Seasick Steve, Hurts and Stornoway, as well as Wild Beasts, The Vaccines and Semi Precious Weapons.

Organisers have also confirmed Joan Jett and the Blackhearts are to headline the Big Top stage on the Friday of the festival, which is due to run between June 10th and 12th next year.

Meanwhile, Boy George is to make a special appearance at the event, playing Thursday's Campers' Night.

An impressive line-up for next year's Isle of Wight Festival is starting to take shape, with the headline acts announced so far including chart-toppers Kings of Leon, rockers Foo Fighters and indie stars Kasabian.

The recently-reformed Pulp are also lined up to perform at the event, while Liam Gallagher's group Beady Eye are set to show off all of their newly-written material to fans.

Legendary electric guitar player Jeff Beck is due to make a special appearance on the final day of the festival, while ticketholders can also look forward to seeing Plan B and James Walsh.
