Ibanez Release 3 New Guitars To Commemorate The 25th Anniversary Of Steve Vai's Passion And Warfare
A much respected and admired guitarist, Steve Vai has long been considered a pioneer of musical innovation and prowess. Often championing new and innovative techniques, Vai's technical chops were matched only by his ability to write awe inspiring pieces through the medium of only a guitar. His style was and still is a reflection of his own music, vibrant and colourful. The release of the three seven string guitars pays tribute to Vai through their dazzling and flamboyant nature whilst incorporating several features that have often been synonymous with the master of guitar himself.
The guitars feature an American basswood body and Rosewood fretboard completed with a disappearing pyramid inlay. With these select tone woods the guitar achieves a fat yet full bodied tonality, offering a powerful mid-range that is complimented by a subtle and smooth edge. Each model also boasts three DiMarzio Blaze pickups on the neck, middle and bridge , each allowing for a number of dynamic tones. Every pickup offers a nuanced sound, providing the player with an abundance of versatility. Each guitar is respectively unique and features its own individual design. The UV77PSN Passion and UV77WFR Warfare draw influence from the original Universe models whereas the UV77SVR Silver mirror the colours of Passion and Warfare's silver anniversary.
