History of Fender guitars to be examined in new book
The history of Fender guitars is the topic of a new book.
Three co-authors - Terry Foster, Martin Kelly and Paul Kelly have come up with Fender: The Golden Age, a title which looks at the history of the musical instrument manufacturer between the years of 1946 and 1970.
It has recently earned a positive review from Rolling Stone journalist Andy Greene, according to Fender's official blog.
Greene explained: "This new, exhaustively researched photo history traces the instrument from its days as a dinky wooden instrument through [to] the breakthrough of the Stratocaster."
Earlier this month, a Fender guitar which was once owned by Jimi Hendrix was auctioned off in Las Vegas.
The musical instrument fetched $180,000 (£119,500), reported BBC News.
Other items for sale at the event included a crystal-studded glove worn by Michael Jackson during his 1984 Victory tour, which managed to receive a winning bid of $190,000.
