Guns N' Roses 'still playing Reading and Leeds'
Electric guitar band Guns N' Roses will still be headlining Reading and Leeds festivals later this month after fans were left worried by a message on Axl Rose's Twitter account.
The tweet read that all of the band's forthcoming shows have been cancelled but a statement has now been issued clarifying that it was the work of a hacker rather than Rose himself.
"Festival Republic are informed by GN'R management that Guns N' Roses have not cancelled their performances at Reading and Leeds and that Axl Rose's Twitter account was hacked into," said a statement by the festival organisers.
As a result, the electric guitar band should be on stage as scheduled, appearing at Reading on Friday 27th August and Leeds two nights later.
Other bands on the bill for this year's dual-site event include Arcade Fire, The Libertines, Blink 182, Queens of the Stone Age and We Are Scientists.
