Guns N' Roses manager labels UK teen as 'best up-and-coming guitarist'

The former manager of Guns N' Roses has labelled a relatively unknown Welsh teenager as "the best up-and-coming [guitar] player this century".
Speaking to Classic Rock magazine, Alan Niven, who worked with Guns N' Roses until 1991, explained that he had first seen 19-year-old student Chris Buck playing guitar on YouTube.
Niven said the pair of them had stayed in email contact since he first viewed the video clip of Buck three years ago.
"He's extremely smart for his years, very musically literate," he said of Buck, who plays in the Tom Hollister Trio.
Buck told BBC News that he was delighted when he first saw Niven's comments in the magazine.
"I couldn't believe it, I had to read it again to double check, it blew me away," the electric guitar player said.
Niven's former band, Guns N' Roses, are one of the headliners at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals.
