Gretsch unveils the Billy Duffy White Falcon
The Cult guitarist's signature axe comes with a host of unique aesthetic differences, which will provide players with more of a challenge when they pick up the instrument as opposed to previous White Falcons.
Gretsch, a subsidiary of Fender, explained that Duffy's signature guitar will feature a 17" wide, 2 ¾" deep single cut-away three-ply maple body with three-ply maple arched top tone bars. However, Duffy has warned that guitarists will need to have big hands to play it.
"It's massive. You've got to have big hands and you've got to really command the instrument when you play it. You can't really play it with any degree of fear," Duffy added.
He also explained that the guitar is a perfect fit for The Cult's sound and has become synonymous with everything that they have used in the past.
Duffy is not the only person to be bestowed with a signature White Falcon, as The Living End's Chris Cheney also had a similar axe developed in the past fewyears.
