Green Day to headline Reading and Leeds Festival 2013
The US pop punk legends will play the Reading show on Friday (August 23rd) before moving onto Leeds on Saturday (August 24th). The shows will be Green Day's only UK festival appearance of 2013.
There has been a raft of new announcements including Nine Inch Nails, Editors, Brand New, City and Colour, Skrillex, Chase and Status, The Lumineers, White Lies among others appearing at the August bank holiday weekend bash.
Green Day will join fellow headliners Biffy Clyro and Eminem and will be topping a bill consisting of System Of A Down, Deftones, Frank Turner, Bring Me The Horizon and New Found Glory.
The pop punk trio have been back on the road in the US following front man Billie Joe Armstrong's recent stint in rehab. They made their live return at the Fox Theater in Pomona, California on March 10th to a sold-out crowd.
Prior to the Reading and Leeds headline slots they will be playing the Emirates Stadium in London in June supported by All Time Low and Kaiser Chiefs.
Tickets for the festival are currently on sale with weekend prices starting from £210.
