Grace Jones' hula-hooping hit
Posted on 19 Jul 2010 10:00 to category : Music News

Grace Jones wowed the crowds at London's Lovebox festival yesterday (18.07.10).
The iconic singer delivered a medley of her biggest hits including 'Nightclubbing', 'Slave to the Rhythm' and 'Pull Up to the Bumper' as well as songs from her latest album 'Hurricane' to the crowd at Victoria Park in east London - and even showed her limber frame by contorting with a hoola-hoop at the end of the show.
An onlooker said: "The crowd were going wild for Grace. Everyone knew all the words.
"The outfits were amazing, but the best bit was the hula-hooping at the end. For a woman of 61 she is incredibly fit. She proved age is nothing but a number. Her performance was the best part of the whole day"
A number of other artists played throughout the day, including Berlin-based singer Peaches, who spent the majority of her performance in a specially-made pink wheelchair after suffering a leg injury recently.
She was joined on stage by naked dancers while singing hits including 'Boys Wanna Be Her' and 'Talk to Me'.
Also playing the final night of the festival were Manchester duo Hurts and pop band Fenech Soler.
Dizzee Rascal and Roxy Music had headlined the event on Friday (16.07.10) and Saturday (17.07.10) respectively.
