Gorillaz confirm collaborations
Posted on 22 Jan 2010 07:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg and members of The Clash are among the collaborators on Gorillaz' new album.
The animated band - the creation of Blur singer Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett - are preparing for the release of 'Plastic Beach' and have teamed up with a number of stars, including Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys, Mos Def, De La Soul and The Fall's Mark E. Smith.
Commenting on the collaboration, Gorillaz frontman Murdoc said: "Leeching is the wrong word now isn't it? It's not like I've drawn blood or anything. No, I think the word 'coerced' sings the deal a little better. Although, yes, the coercion did come via chloroform and rohypnol."
The 'Dare' hitmaker insists their forthcoming new album will be the best thing to happen to the music industry in a long time.
He added to NME: "You can expect a warm, tingly feeling inside as you realise you haven't actually been listening to music for a long while since... well since we released our last long player.
"All that other c**p out there is just landfill. Sonic landfill, in skinny jeans and stupid sunglasses."
