Gibson has noted the appeal of its Les Paul model with many prominent electric guitar players.
The company said it does not need to talk at length about why they are such good guitars to play, as this has already been done by some of the world's most highly regarded rockers.
For instance, Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash is on the record as saying that he keeps his Gibson Les Paul in his bedroom both at home and on tour.
"There's never been a morning where I haven't woken up and gone, 'God that's awesome to look at'," he commented.
Gibson tracked down similar quotes from Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page, who told Guitar Player that it has a "beautiful" sustain sound that he likes.
The company added that when former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney switches from bass guitar to an electric, he often uses a Les Paul.
He was quoted as saying that they are reliable instruments that generate subtle tones and combinations of sounds.
