Gibson hails BB King's live album
Posted on 9 Oct 2009 12:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Gibson has identified a live album by BB King as one of the finest blues albums ever made.
According to the electric guitar manufacturer, many of the greatest blues albums of all time are those that were recorded in front of a live audience.
BB King's 1965 LP Live at the Regal was highlighted as one such example, as it showcases many of the guitarist's distinctive playing styles, such as his "stinging" vibratos and "incredible" sustain.
Gibson also noted that King manages to produce "pitch perfect" bends on his electric guitar Lucille "in ways that tear the soul".
The manufacturer added that the blues springs from "communal traditions" in the way that folk music does, allowing performers to feed off the vibe generated by members of the audience.
This comes shortly after King, who recently celebrated his 84th birthday, was described by Gibson as an inspiration to generations of electric guitar players.
