Gibson guitar app launched for the iPhone

A Gibsonguitar app that allows users to tune up their instruments has been made available for iPhone users.
The free-to-download Gibsonguitar app also features a standard metronome, more than 30 chord charts and video tuition lessons.
A company statement said: "The app will be updated frequently with new video content so users of all guitar ability can improve their technique from the comfort of their home."
The app will also include access to the company's website – meaning that Gibsonguitar owners will be able to keep up to date with new product releases and other news from the instrument manufacturer.
Earlier this month, the company announced details of the five special-edition Gibsonguitars it intends to release this year.
Among the new guitars being made are a Slash Appetite for Destruction Les Paul, Randy Scruggs Advanced Jumbo and Sammy Hagar Red Rocker Les Paul.
Gibson is also going to release 50th anniversary editions of 1960 Les Paul Standard and ES-335 guitars.
