[Gibson Guitar](http://www.gear4music.com/Electric_Guitars/Gibson_Electric.html) Corporation has produced a range of [electric guitars](http://www.gear4music.com/Guitars.html) to recognize the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack in the US. In total there are three specially designed [Les Paul](http://www.gear4music.com/Gibson) Traditionals, which features a custom laser etching designed by the company's best craftsmen. For the unique artwork that distinguishes each guitar, a line drawing was uploaded into a [computer](http://www.gear4music.com/Computer-Music.html) controlled laser, which then worked its magic by engraving the image directly onto the body of the guitar. The reason for the etching is to creating something permanent – by engraving directly into the wood, as opposed to be part of the finish, the artwork becomes as important as the strings themselves. Before being auctioned for charity, the electric guitars will go on a tour across the US and be played by a number of artists. Henry Juszkiewicz, the chief executive of [Gibson](http://www.gear4music.com/Gibson.html), recently pitched in on the hot debate of the moment – job creation in the US. "It's not easy to compete on a global basis. We’re competing with Chinese, European companies. We’d like to feel like we’re respected and help create jobs," he told Fox News.
