Gibson has lifted the covers off its new SG Carved Top Autumn Burst electric guitar.
The model, only 350 of which will be made, is part of Gibson USA's Limited Run Series and has been designed for players who like to rock hard and fast.
Gibson boasted that the original SG is among the world's "greatest rock guitars" and claimed the new version "has all of its predecessor's performance appeal and then some".
The body is made from carved AAA-grade maple and mahogany, with the latter wood also used for the instrument's traditionally fast neck.
It has a Tune-O-Matic bridge and features a stripped down volume control system and Burstbucker Pros pickups.
The company summed up the guitar by stating: "An unabashed looker and a real tone monster, the SG Carved Top Autumn Burst is also an extremely playable instrument."
Famous musicians to have played Gibson SGs regularly over the years include Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath and AC/DC's Angus Young.
