Gibson SG 'used for almost everything' by Doors guitarist

Robbie Krieger, the guitarist in The Doors, has explained the importance of the Gibson SG to his career.
Speaking to the musical instrument manufacturer's website, Krieger explained that the first guitar he ever owned was a Gibson SG.
The star - who is bringing out a new solo record entitled Singularity - stated that nowadays he uses his Gibson Signature Model SG "for almost everything, live and in the studio".
"It's an exact copy of the '67 SG you see me holding on the back of the album cover, right down to the dents and scratches," Krieger explained.
Last year, the guitarist stated that the Gibson SG is very light and easy to play up high.
He said that when The Doors began to get popular he was offered his pick of guitars, but decided to stick with the SG as he loved the way it sounded and never had a problem with feedback.
