Gibson Les Paul praised by Tak Matsumoto
Posted on 1 Jun 2010 13:00 to category : Instruments News

The Gibson Les Paul has been singled out for praise by top electric guitar player Tak Matsumoto.
According to the Japanese musician, a Les Paul was his first ever guitar.
As a result, he has stuck with this type of instrument throughout his career, as he believes it always delivers good results.
"I don't know why - I just play it the best," Matsumoto commented.
Speaking to the Gibson website, he cited Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple and Rainbow fame as one of the people who first inspired him to pick up the electric guitar.
Matsumoto also named Michael Shenker of UFO as another influential figure that prompted him to learn the instrument.
He added that he is very proud of the fact that Gibson has released two signature Les Paulguitars in his honour.
Matsumoto has been active in the music industry for almost 30 years, notching up hits with his band B'z and as a solo artist.
